B-ographySteve came to Balcom in 2000, leading our media team to deliver stellar results in both traditional and digital platforms for clients including Kubota Tractor Corporation, Cavender's and Cook Children's Health Care System. With more than 35 years of experience in the industry, Steve is now head of account management, media and digital strategy for the agency. Prior to joining Balcom, he developed his advertising savvy at The Phillips Agency and Meyer & Johnson for clients such as the Texas Rangers baseball club and the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association. He received two bachelor's degrees in mass communications and business management from Abilene Christian University (ACU), which in 2014 awarded him the Gutenberg Award for distinguished professional achievement. Steve has also served on the Advisory Board for ACU’s student-run advertising agency, Morris & Mitchell, and currently lives in North Richland Hills with his wife, Kelly.
- Steve once had to lead a new business presentation with water spilled down his shirt after a potential client bumped into him.
- Steve is an avid runner and Dallas Stars fan, and he's been known to rock out to Bruce Springsteen on occasion.
- Steve and Kelly frequently vacation in Kauai.
