Ashley Freer


A Balcom B since 2009, Ashley heads strategy for Balcom Agency and leads a group of account service team members as group director. She has developed high-impact strategies for several clients including Cook Children's Health Care System, Dairy MAX, Hippo Sak and Mrs. Renfro's Salsa. Originally from Georgia, Ashley has 20 years of marketing experience with organizations including Ogilvy Public Relations, Atlanta History Center and BlueLinx Corporation. Ashley is a member of the Public Relations Society of America; served a two-year term on the board of Mayfest, Inc.; is a graduate of Leadership Fort Worth's 2015 class; and was named one of Fort Worth’s 40 Under 40 by the Fort Worth Business Press in 2013. From June 2019 to May 2020, she served as the 90th president of the Junior League of Fort Worth. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Lee University and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She was named one of Fort Worth’s 400 most influential people by Fort Worth, Inc. in 2020.


  • Ashley served as a part-time assistant minister to women at Christ Chapel Bible Church's Fort Worth campus for nine years.
  • In high school, Ashley placed among the top winners in a national young writer's competition by Guideposts magazine – winning an electronic typewriter.
  • Ashley shares a family tree with Elvis Presley.
  • When Ashley made the move to Fort Worth, she brought along her dog Honey, who is still with her.
