Richie Escovedo, APR

B-ography

Richie heads the Balcom project management team with more than 25 years of experience in strategic communications and public relations, a highly logistical mind, and a quick wit that makes him fun to work with. He was instrumental in codifying Balcom’s workflow processes and now leads our AI innovation team, experimenting with ways to maximize B’s human creativity by automating repetitive tasks. Richie spent several years in education as director of communications at Mansfield ISD and previously Nolan Catholic High School before moving agency-side to Balcom in 2014, where he has touched a vast range of clients over the years, including Mrs. Renfro’s salsa, HF Sinclair and Dairy MAX. He has earned numerous public relations awards, was named among the Fort Worth 40 Under 40 by Fort Worth Business Press in 2004, and was the 2014 president of the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of PRSA. Richie earned his B.A. in communication studies from the University of North Texas and earned his Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2015.

B-amazed

  • Richie has played the saxophone for 40 years and can make cricket sounds with his mouth. Coincidence?
  • Richie has volunteered on the worship team at Doxology Bible Church for more than 20 years as percussion and sax player.
