Raven is a Yorkie/Maltese puppy specializing in home security and pup-lick relations: Though small enough to fit in a large pocket or an average-sized purse, she still has the tenacity to conduct negotiations with 100-pound dogs and provide strong verbal warnings to trespassers of all kinds. Raven joined her humans, the Hawthorne family, when son Barron reached the responsible dog-raising age of 12. Raven herself is nearing her first birthday – age 7 in dog years. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with Barron and chasing the cat.

- Raven hides her ball under anything she can find – using blankets or pieces of paper to cover it up.
- Raven often stands on her hind legs like a human. She still doesn’t seem very tall.
