JOB SUMMARY
The Media Accounting Specialist is responsible for the receipt, review and invoicing of all media purchases on behalf of Balcom Agency clients. This team member works collaboratively with the accounting department, media planners/buyers, account managers, project managers and media vendors to execute client’s media plans flawlessly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, review and invoice clients for all media purchased on their behalf, including television, radio, outdoor and digital.
- Manage system synchronization between media buying and project management software, Work with the media team to resolve discrepancies and make-goods.
- Gather documentation such as vendor invoices, affidavits of performance and creative assets to submit and track co-op reimbursement claims.
- Reconcile media vendor invoices to client billings.
- Participate in monthly revenue recognition meetings , and finalize invoicing.
- Communicate with vendors concerning billing issues and payments.
- Manage weekly payment workflows by tracking vendor invoice due dates and preparing them for supervisor authorization and release.
- Manage media-related credit card transactions monthly, ensuring all receipts are accurately documented.
- Actively participate in recurring internal department and cross-functional alignment meetings.
- Understand the important roles of budgets, estimates and billing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with emphasis on Excel and Google Sheets.
- Two or more years of experience working with accounting functions.
- Experience with an agency-centric buying program is a plus. We use GaleForce Digital Technologies/MediaForce.
- Experience with an agency-centric project management system preferred. We use Workamajig.
- Be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Please note that we are searching for a new office home in the Fort Worth area. You will work remotely until we move. We anticipate keeping a hybrid work arrangement for most positions.
