What is a QR Code?
You know that black and white square that kind of looks likea bar code? Maybe you’ve seen it on an ad or product packaging. That’s a QR, or quick response, code. QR codes direct mobile users to a brand’s website (or campaign landing page) through a smartphone scanning application. No typing in URLs, no searching, just a direct route to more information – and, hopefully, more conversions. But with best practices undefined and adoption rates low, the jury is still out on the effectiveness of QR codes. Think twice about using a QR code when a simple link will do the trick.
