Balcom Agency Wins Seven Healthcare Advertising Awards

FORT WORTH, Texas – April 28, 2023 – Balcom Agency has received seven awards as part of the 40th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards competition, the largest event of its kind with more than 4,300 entries this year. A national panel of judges gave scores based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact. Winning work created by Balcom Agency includes projects for Smith+Nephew (Advanced Wound Care Management), Cook Children’s Health Plan and eTrueNorth.

Smith+Nephew is a global medical technology business focused on the repair, regeneration and replacement of soft and hard tissue. This wound care campaign focused on the effectiveness of two products highlighting the suitability for wounds of various sizes.

Completed for Smith+Nephew as well, the product Collagenase SANTYL Ointment took home a Silver award for the category of magazine advertising.

Billboards for Cook Children's Health Plan received a Gold award for the campaign “Game plan.” The organization provides whole-family health coverage for CHIP, CHIP Perinatal, STAR (Medicaid) and STAR Kids members in Texas.
