Balcom Agency Wins "Best of Show" at 2013 Fort Worth ADDY® Awards

Agency also takes home highest number of awards, securing 41 ADDYs at AAF-Fort Worth event

FORT WORTH, Texas – Feb. 27, 2013 – Balcom Agency, an advertising, interactive and public relations firm based in Fort Worth, won the top honor, Best of Show, and the most overall awards at the 2013 American Advertising Federation – Fort Worth (AAF–FW) awards gala on Feb. 22. Balcom received the overall Best of Show award for the Comfort and Joy retail/in-store sales campaign designed for Justin Boots, as well as Best of Show–Print for its Chippewa Boots History brochure. The agency finished the night with a total of 41 ADDY Awards – two Best of Show, 13 Gold, eight Silver and 18 Bronze.

 

Balcom’s 41 ADDY Awards recognition included work in a broad spectrum of advertising and marketing categories for several clients:

  • Justin Brands won 18 total awards for its divisions, including:
    • Justin Boots:

  • Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary’s Dead Sea Scrolls & the Bible exhibition won nine awards, including:

    • One Silver ADDY for a consumer regional/national integrated campaign
    • One Silver ADDY for a sales/information kit
    • One Bronze ADDY for an out-of-home (outdoor) campaign
    • One Bronze ADDY for a consumer/trade ad campaign

  • USMD Hospital won seven awards, including:

  • CASA of Tarrant County won two awards:

  • Lena Pope Home Early Learning Center won:
    • One Bronze ADDY for a public service poster
  • The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth won:
    • One Bronze ADDY for advertising for the arts & sciences, digital advertising/website
  • Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company won:
    • One Bronze ADDY for a business-to-business website
