Balcom Agency Hires Rob Mart as Director of Strategy and Planning

Rob Mart has joined the Balcom Agency as director of strategy and planning, bringing more than 30 years of experience in health care strategic marketing to the B team.

Prior to joining Balcom, Mart served as director of global marketing for ConvaTec, Inc., headquartered in Skillman, N.J. He has extensive experience in the health care industry, holding positions at Walco International, Inc., Healthpoint, Ltd. and Molnycke Health Care, AB. Mart also worked as director of strategic marketing and product director at Johnson & Johnson Medical, Inc.

Mart earned his bachelor's degree in resource management from Rutgers University, and a master of business administration from Baylor University. His doctoral thesis — Web-based Continuing Education in Wound Care As An Extension Of Professional Conferences: A Study of Utility And Acceptance — has been implemented by industry publishing organizations.

In keeping with Balcom's tradition of acquiring a unique "title" once joining the agency, Mart will be known amongst his peers as "Rocket Scientist." The title reveals Mart's great skill of understanding complex science and making it easy for the average person to understand. Real "rocket scientists" also run in his family, as Mart's son, daughter in law and son in law work in the aerospace industry.
