Linda Goelzer, APR

B-ography

Linda is a seasoned public relations expert with a passion for storytelling and media relations. After securing a degree in radio/TV/film from Baylor University, she started in the industry as a news reporter for TV stations in Wichita Falls, Texas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. During this time, Linda pursued a path in health and medical reporting, which later led her to transition into the world of PR within a health care setting. Since then, Linda has held positions as public relations director at Carter BloodCare; marketing manager and sales support at NOVADAQ (now Stryker); public relations manager for Presbyterian Dallas Hospital of Texas Health Resources; and news and PR specialist for Presbyterian HealthCare System before the merger. She now brings over 30 years of experience to Balcom as director of public relations. When she's not shining a light on narratives, you can find her hiking national parks, photographing nature or enjoying a Baylor football game. Originally from Wharton and El Campo, Texas, she now lives in Dallas with her cat, Harry Winston.

B-amazed

  • Prior to kickstarting a career in PR, Linda worked as a broadcast news reporter, producer and anchor.
  • A season ticket holder for Baylor football, Linda wants to hear your best “Heeeeeeeey, Sic ‘Em, Bears!”
  • Linda claims she can’t line up a cue ball in pool to save her life, but that sounds exactly like something a pool shark would say.
