Balcom Agency Hires Emily Brown as Junior Art Director
FORT WORTH, Texas – Oct. 8, 2019 – Emily Brown has joined Balcom Agency’s award-winning creative team as Junior Art Director. In her new role, Brown will assist with creative concept development and execution for clients such as Humane Society of North Texas, Crastinum and more.
Prior to Balcom, Brown spent 10 years as an art scholar earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in visual communication at the University of Texas at Arlington (2018), Master of Arts in art history at Texas Christian University (2012) and Bachelor of Arts in art history at Baylor University (2009). She served as a visual communication intern for Fort Worth ISD and Fort Worth Museum of Science and History before becoming a freelance designer for brands including Eno’s Pizza Tavern and Grace & Grit. Her work has earned more than 20 design accolades since 2017 alone, including the Special Judges’ Award for Best Logo from the American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) hosted by the American Advertising Federation – Fort Worth.
“We are thrilled to welcome Emily and her creative talents to our team,” said Carol Glover, Principal, Creative Services at Balcom. “She brings a thoughtful, imaginative approach in her design solutions, along with a keen attention to the details that matter. Clients have already felt the impact of her work.”
In true Balcom fashion, Brown received a quirky nickname upon joining the agency. She will be known secondarily as “Doodlebug,” highlighting her skills as an illustrator and passion for bringing creative ideas to life.
Brown is currently a member of American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and the Dallas Society of Visual Communications (DSVC).
