REAL School Gardens Names Balcom as its Agency of Record

FORT WORTH, Texas, – Dec. 10, 2007 -- REAL School Gardens, a grassroots gardening program that helps elementary schools create outdoor classrooms, has selected the Balcom Agency as its agency of record.

Balcom Agency is designing the new REAL School Gardens Web site and building a public relations program that will help the program increase its impact by developing a national brand presence and network of educators, partnerships and supporters.

“We chose Balcom because the team really understood our goals and our potential for expanding to a much larger and more national program,” said Suzy Peacock, executive director of the Rainwater Charitable Foundation and a member of REAL School Gardens’ executive board of directors. “We found just the right partner to help us achieve our goals.” Since 1996 the Rainwater Charitable Foundation has supported school gardens in the Fort Worth area. In 2003, the foundation funded the establishment of REAL School Gardens.

Said Stuart Balcom, agency president: “We are honored to be working with REAL School Gardens because of the important and life-changing work they are doing with school children and communities. It will be an exciting opportunity to work with this organization as they expand their operations and build partnerships across the country.”
