THE BALCOM AGENCY EARNS INDUSTRY AWARDS

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 22, 2007 — The Balcom Agency was recently honored by the Texas Public Relations Association (TPRA) and Service Industry Advertising Awards (SIAA) with public relations and creative excellence awards for work created for two of its clients, LifeGift Organ Donation Center and Harris Methodist Hospitals.

The agency received a Bronze Best of Texas award from TPRA for the 2006 Annual Report/2007 Calendar it created on behalf of LifeGift Organ Donation Center. The Annual Report/Calendar was designed to keep organ and tissue donation top of mind throughout the year and promote the development of LifeGift’s new corporate headquarters among its target audiences. The calendar includes profiles and photographs of organ/tissue transplant recipients and donor families that tell the stories behind donation.

TPRA is a statewide association of public relations professionals. The association held its annual Silver Spur/Best of Texas awards program during its annual conference in Houston, March 9-11, 2007.

The SIAA awarded the Balcom Agency a bronze and merit award for work done on behalf of Harris Methodist Hospitals. The bronze award was given for a collateral campaign developed to promote Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital’s CyberKnife System, an advanced radiosurgery used to remove cancerous tumors. The Merit award was given for a television ad series for Harris Methodist Hospitals. The campaign, entitled It Chose Me, used patient testimonials discussing how cancer and heart disease entered their lives and the care they received at Harris Methodist Hospitals. The national Service Industry Advertising Awards recognize marketing and advertising excellence for service industry institutions and their advertising agencies.
