BALCOM ADDS FOUR TO THE B-TEAM

 

FORT WORTH, Texas, July 18, 2006 — Lynne Swihart, Holly Aguilar, Chip Hanna, and Brian Blankenship have joined the Balcom Agency as production director, senior art director, junior account executive, and senior art director respectively. Swihart will handle all aspects of the production process, Aguilar and Blankenship will provide clients with graphic design and creative services, and Hanna will manage and assist with client projects.

Swihart joins Balcom from Blanchard Schaefer Advertising & Public Relations where she was director of production services.  With more than 20 years of advertising experience in North Texas, Swihart brings exhaustive knowledge of the industry to the Balcom Agency.  She has served such national and regional clients as: K-Mart, Oldsmobile, Pier 1 Imports, Midas Muffler, EyeMasters, Country Music Today Magazine, JPS Health Network, and Pancho’s Mexican Buffet.

Swihart also serves as president for the Advertising Club of Fort Worth.  She is a member of the American Advertising Federation board of directors for the 10th District.  In addition to being featured in Who’s Who in Advertising, she has received awards from The Printing Industry Association of Texas, The Advertising Club of Fort Worth, The Dallas Ad League and the Boy Scouts of America.

Aguilar comes to the Balcom Agency from Caremark Inc., where she served as senior art director.  With her strong background in graphic design, she has won many awards for graphic and website design, including a National Gold Quill and WebAward. She has served such clients as: EDS, Arthur Andersen, XM Radio, Reliant Energy, Dayspring Cards, Sysco Foods and Advanced PCS. Aguilar is a treasurer for the DFW American Institute of Graphic Arts chapter, and volunteers her time at Dallas Society of Visual Communicators (DSVC) events.

Prior to becoming junior account executive, Hanna served as intern at the Balcom Agency. He has also worked as the visual art director for TCU’s Campaigns team and as an intern at Aars & Wells, Inc. on such clients as: CompUSA, Gateway Computers, Seagate Hard Drives, SMU, and the Dallas Roof Gardens. Hanna is also actively involved in his church, where he volunteers in the children’s ministry.

Blankenship joins the agency after three years as an independent creative consultant.  He previously worked at Maverick Advertising & PR and Shelton Communications Group.  He has served a wide variety of national and regional clients, including: Lonestarsteaks.com, Mercantile Bank, the City of Santa Fe, Fort Worth Ad Club, Rosewood Hotels and Roper Footwear & Apparel.

His work has been published in LogoLounge Volumes 2 and 3, American Corporate Identity, Graphic Design USA and many others. He has won numerous DSVC and local ADDYÒ Awards.
