FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 20, 2008 – The new Justin Gypsy Cowgirl Collection™ won a slate of top awards for the Balcom Agency’s free-spirited print and online ad campaign from the American Advertising Federation Fort Worth ADDY annual awards competition. The Balcom Agency of Fort Worth received gold trophies for the collection’s innovative multimedia campaign, boot box, and interactive micro Web site featuring a video contest via YouTube. Justin Boot Company launched the Gypsy product line in July 2007, targeting hip, fashion-conscious teens and young women. The casual, colorful footwear is both stirrup-friendly and perfect for dressing up, and features thick-blown rubber outsoles, vibrant colors and intricate stitch patterns. The Balcom Agency designed both the micro site and e-blast to attract the young female consumer and create brand interaction through user-generated content. The online “Be the Next Gypsy Cowgirl” contest invited users to submit videos through YouTube to qualify for a chance to be in a photo shoot for the collection’s next ad campaign. The entries attracted traffic and increased time spent on the site. The site also features a “Dress like a Gypsy” section with fashion tips for wearers of Justin Gypsy Cowgirl boots. Balcom also won a gold trophy for the Justin Gypsy Cowgirl Collection’s brilliantly-colored and illustrated boot box. Balcom won silver ADDY awards for the Justin Gypsy Collection’s logo and point-of-purchase materials and a bronze ADDY award for the Justin Gypsy Collection’s print ad campaign.
