Arts Council of Fort Worth & Tarrant County Wins the Gold

FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 20, 2008 – The Arts Council of Fort Worth & Tarrant County’s new logo, re-branding and marketing campaign won gold trophies from the American Advertising Federation Fort Worth ADDY annual awards competition in February.

The Balcom Agency designed the Arts Council’s new logo and developed a viral marketing campaign that won the top ADDY award in the nontraditional advertising category. The logo is modern, timeless and easily adapted for the Arts Council’s various entities. The agency’s “Art has a voice – Art has a vision” viral marketing campaign turned heads in downtown Fort Worth with its live street actors performing during a Friday lunch hour. The campaign also won a special judges award called the “Unconventional Award of Distinction.”

“We wanted to put together a campaign that was as unique and creative as the Arts Council, and that would bring to life the Arts Council’s important mission in the community,” said Chip Hanna, the campaign’s account director.

The Arts Council of Fort Worth & Tarrant County’s mission is to provide funding and leadership to stimulate and ensure the advancement of the arts through the community of Fort Worth and Tarrant County.
