BALCOM AGENCY HONORED WITH 2006 ASTER AWARDS AND HEALTHCARE ADVERTISING AWARDS

FORT WORTH, Texas – October 2006 – The Balcom Agency has been honored with Healthcare Marketing Report’s 23rd Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards and 2006 Aster Awards for work created for Harris Methodist Hospitals and LifeGift Organ Donation Center

Healthcare Marketing Report presented the Balcom Agency with Gold, Silver and Merit awards. The Gold honored the Harris Methodist Heart Center campaign, including print ads, outdoor and direct mail. Silver awards recognized Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital’s “Choice of a Lifetime” direct mail piece and Harris Methodist Hospitals’ Pink Bag Power Lunch save the date card and invitation. Finally, a Merit award was given to Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital’s Spanish version of its general hospital brochure.

In the national Aster Awards competition, a Gold Aster was given for the 2006 LifeGift “Life within Reach” calendar and annual report photography shot by Ralph Lauer. Silver Asters recognized the Harris Methodist H-E-B Hospital’s Mobile Health Unit wrapper and the Harris Methodist Heart Center campaign. The Aster Awards are the fastest-growing healthcare award program in the nation.
