It's hard to believe that anybody could be excited about driving through a town with only two stores still open at 8 pm (both food venues), but I love it. Seriously.
You should go!! You exit 81 headed east, and the road is gorgeous. Drive awhile, and the road makes a wide turn to the left. There's a huge plane that sits out by the road which is super cool to see!

I had an old roommate from Maypearl. I've never been there, but I always think of him every time I drive past the exit off I-35.
